Magical Moments #09 - 16th Oct 2024
The People who change your life for better or worse.
I meet a lot of people in my line of work, not only am I a teacher of witchcraft, herbalism and healing therapies, but I am a public speaker and sell my witchy goods at mind, body & spirit and wellness events around the country. I meet and talk to people from all religions, all ages and many different countries.
So why am I telling you this? Some people we meet will make no difference to our lives at all, some will pop in, leave a mark and pop out again and some people will change our lives for ever, the later we always hope will be for the better, but unfortunately that is not always the case.
Many of the people who join my witches school year and a day course, find me quite by accident and I believe that I am apart of their journey in that moment, knowledge I pass on to them, will clarify, underpin and change their life in one way or another to some extent and this is often a mutual exchange. Just because I am the teacher and them the student, doesn’t mean I cannot learn from them also.
Sometimes our meeting as about empathy or counselling, lending a listening ear and not actually about the content of the course and so my job may be different things to different people. You know what they say about variety being the spice of life!
Anyway, sometimes this giving caring and offering of knowledge can be draining and that is were other students and people I meet step forward to offer healing to me without me even knowing it. I call this the Universal exchange.
Whatever we give or receive there should always be an Universal exchange. This week 1 of my brand new school students came up to me at the end of the class and offered me 2 expensive looking chocolates, as she placed them in my hand she said “This is my energy exchange, thank you for class tonight.” I have another student who always pays cash for her courses, when she givens me the cash it comes in a little voile bag with a little piece of tumble stone and maybe a feather or a shell. I always look forward to receiving her payments, not because I’m receiving money, but because of the thought she obviously puts into that exchange between her hard earnt wages and my knowledge, that then creates a smile on my face that lasts most if not all of the day.
When I send out my parcels for items people have bought from my store, I always add a randomly picked oracle card and I hope that it raises a smile on the customers face when they read the card and place it somewhere safe, maybe to passed on to someone they know who might need it.
So even the negative people who just pass through our lives teach us lessons, maybe we learn how not to be like them, or we learn how to distance ourselves from those sorts of energy, or how to protect ourselves better.
Life is a lesson that needs to be learned - so go and fill your mind with wonder.
