Magical Cooking

Hi and welcome to the magical cooking posts, I'm going to be posting some recipes and some info over the next few weeks, so here goes with the more important stuff -

The most important thing about incorporating magic into your cooking is to ensure your kitchen is not cluttered, dirty and in total disarray.

A cluttered space equals a cluttered mind and cluttered minds don't make good magic, so even if you are a hoarder of the worst kind, shove all your "sh1t" into a different room and make at least the kitchen a space of tranquility.

All magic starts within us and we build a picture that helps us to raise enough energy to create the outcome we want or need and this requires an uncluttered space, there is no getting around it, you can't just shove everything onto another work surface in the same room.

So here is a little challenge for you - Do you have items in the kitchen cupboard you bought 2 years ago and have never used, you know the things - electric apple peeler, sandwich maker, fruit juicer, bread maker, all those great ideas you saw advertised on the TV and thought "Yes, I'll do that", knowing that the box was never going to get opened, or at the best used twice? We have all been there. Well, take those items and advertise them on vinted or FB market or just give them to the local charity shop. If it hasn't been used in the last 6 months, then it isn't likely to be.

Do you have items you do use, but not that often and you have them on your worktops because the cupboards are filled with items you don't use? Yep we have all been there too, well that is also great, because now, you have space in your cupboards, so move the items on top of the workspace into the gaps you have created in the cupboards.

Make a solution of lemon juice, a squidgy bottle (pancake Tuesday style) will do, mix it with a tsp of bicarb and then warm water, be careful, it will froth up.

Use the natural cleaning solution to clean your worktops, door handles, cooker top, and anything else you feel like giving a cleansing wash while saying "I cleanse this space and create a tranquil centre for magic."

If like me you like to do a full Spring clean before Imbolc (1st Feb), then really go for it, I'll be cleaning the cooker inside and out in the first week of January, washing the windows, the curtains, wiping down the inside and outside of all the kitchen cupboards, washing the tiles, the light fitting, the extractor fan, cleaning behind the washer, fridge and cooker, you name it, I'll be doing it and the great thing is, it leaves my kitchen fully prepared for magic, it also makes me feel amazing.

So whatever your ability is, make a difference in the kitchen, get it prepared and next week we will talk about the types of utensils you might need, I think you will be surprised!!
