Magical Waters

Have you ever been to one of those places where you just feel so connected but don’t know why?

I am definitely an Earth bound person, but sometimes a water source just does it for me, I’ve been on cruises and find the ocean fascinating but also a scary place, I have great respect for the seaside and tides and I wouldn’t call my swimming my favourite past time either, but occasionally water just grabs me.

I’ve been to many of the water sources around Yorkshire like Aysgarth falls, Janet’s foss, the river Nidd and Hardraw Force which is the highest single drop waterfall in England and is were Robin Hood spies on Maid Marion bathing under the waterfall Prince of Thieves film). It also has a natural amphitheatre below the waterfall which holds a brass band concert every year due to its amazing acoustics.

My son has been to Lourdes twice while at school, the Lourdes water is believed to be magical by Catholics around the World and many travel to France to see it and buy bottles and bring home.

There are Holy wells all around the World considered to be famous water wells relating to gods and goddesses long before religion was a thing. Places people came to bath and drink from to enhance their lives and support their manifesting or spell work.

Pamukkale in Turkey has been visited by millions of people over the years including myself more than once, its water again thought to be healing and beneficial to the mind too.

Even the underground and over ground waterways and spas in Iceland have magical and health benefits, but sometimes it is those little places, you find on a day out that bring you the most.

Gypsey Race in Rudston, East Yorkshire is one of the most magical and energetic pieces of water I have come across recently. The stream flows along the floor of the valley and is the most northerly chalk river in Britain. It is known as a winterbourne stream as it only flows when the water table is high enough to reach the valley floor. In summer the stream may only flow in small sections, before disappearing underground, so choose other times to go. Rudston also houses Rudston Monolith, the largest monolith in the county and possible Britain. Both the stream and monument are on a ley line and the energy is palpable to say the least. Even when you drive along side the race, you can feel the power pulling you toward it, it truly is a magical feel.

What water sources do you love for their magical benefits?
